How to connect for fanfic on DW

If you're new to DW and like to read or write fanfiction, you might like to check out the event communities fandomcalendar and fandom_on_dw. On both, people promote fanwork exchanges, ficathons, challenges, prompt fests, other communities, etc. These promos could show where your fanfic peeps are active on DW!

DW also has many fanwork recommendation communities! I'd recommend fancake for starters.

Yeah, those all work great, and most of the significant activity hits one or the other.

I would add two more major ones among the biggest, busiest fannish communities on Dreamwidth:

fictional_fans is a general fandom community for new users and experienced ones.

fandomweekly hosts short fic challenges.
