Sort of! "Dishcord" isn't a failing social media platform or anything; it's the self-adopted name for the fandom of the webseries Diminish, who then formed a fandom community in the Diminish Discord server (hence the name) and then we followed each other's web presences around various places from there. So this is like... no one's leaving Dishcord; this post is more for Dishcorders leaving Twitter.

On one hand, we are hopelessly biased because Diminish's creator is a good close personal friend of ours.

On the other, the reason we became such good close personal friends is because we were such huge Diminish fans that we left comments on everything and they found us and, you know, we got to talking.

So I am fairly confident we could still say "Diminish is good, more people should check it out" even if we didn't know them, since we kind of were saying that before we did and that's how it all started.

Ah, my friends and I rec each other's stuff all the time. We rec it because it is good stuff that meets a need, not because we are friends; and yes, I too tend to make friends with people who make good stuff. Presumably my fans feel the same about me. Frex, I mentioned dialecticdreamer because she runs two monthly events, Magpie Monday (rotating themes) and Feathering the Nest (always gentle fiction). They're really fun events.

I'd love to see someone with a big friendslist get on followfriday and rec individual blogs the way I rec communities. I expect a lot of those would be their friends.
